Surge for Students

Sundays 6:00 pm

SURGE means “a swelling, forward movement in the water.” Our theme verse is “Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men” (Matt. 4:19). We believe that as we are obeying that command, we will make a SURGE in the world around us for Christ. We have four major components to our ministry: Sunday School, Wednesday night evangelism, Sunday night Bible Study, Outside events and missions.

Wednesdays 5:45 pm

Each Wednesday we meet for a time of food, fun, laughter, music, and a challenge from God’s Word.

Café opens at 5:45PM

Organized time begins at 6:00PM

We finish at 8PM, and most weeks, an impromptu Chik-fil-A run occurs.

Surge Student Ministry is involved weekly in Student led Bible Clubs at Teasley Middle and Cherokee High Schools. We can be found at other schools and clubs throughout the year as well.

Students have the opportunity to be in a Student Choir we call “Rush”.

Each summer Students have the opportunity to go out of town on a mission trip, as well as summer camp.

We desire to provide for our students that they might have an environment of spiritual growth and strong relationships. With spiritual and relational strength they can go out and be effective for Christ in their world.

Learn how to navigate Middle & High school as a Christian during CORNERSTONE. Talk about the tuff stuff.

“We are excited to announce the 2017-18 Cornerstone Theme and activities. We will be in the kitchen this semester with Ken Dicamillio.  All aspects of food prep and service, along with learning meats and cooking.  We will join the Blade Men’s meeting for their study as well.  We will be challenged to read, understand, and implement the New Testament book of Romans and it’s teaching.

“May our daughters be like graceful PILLARS, carved to beautify a palace.”
Psalm 144:12

Pillars engages 5th-12th grade girls, as well as college aged girls, to discover and grow in their journey toward becoming the women God has designed and created them to be. Our mission is to assist girls in fully understanding and passionately seeking out God’s call on their lives.
